Forthcoming - The Magdalene Arch

Novel Outline

On Friday, October 13th, 1307, under a veil of darkness and secrecy, 18 galleys silently slipped out of the Templar port of La Rochelle, France, each carrying an immense treasure. In accordance with the coded instructions of the soon-to-be arrested Grand Master, Jacques de Molay, the 18 entrusted sea captains charted their individual courses using a series of portolan maps, which had come into the possession of the Knights Templar through the earlier Crusades. Having thus established their destination, 8 galleys made their way to Scotland, 8 made their way to Portugal, while to the amazement of the remaining two captains - the most trusted and highest ranking of the 18 - one galley found itself sailing on a northwest bearing to the New Land known as Antillia (Nova Scotia), while the remaining galley sailed southwest to the New Land known as Brasilia (Brazil).

While the ships that sailed to Scotland and Portugal carried riches of gold and silver, religious artifacts, ancient manuscripts and other untold wealth, the other two ships carried passengers of the Grail Bloodline, as well as the ancient alchemical texts, which allowed the highest initiate to transform gold into manna – the “food of the Gods.” It was this knowledge that the Church of Rome feared the most, for it allowed, through the wisdom and understanding of the direct descendents of the House of David, direct contact with God. These two small groups were the “children of the light,” bound by oath and secrecy, with the goal of establishing Grail settlements in the New Land; sanctuaries which would be connected spiritually through an ancient longitudinal meridian aptly named the Magdalene Arch, for Green Oaks, Nova Scotia and Ponta Negra, Brazil, were to become the pillars of a New Jerusalem.

Over time these two settlements were assimilated into the indigenous population and their secrets were dispersed among the more prominent families, with portions of the ultimate secret being lost through disease, piracy, war and attrition, while portions remained and were absorbed into Masonic/Templar ritual practiced to this day. Hence, in present-day Brazil and Canada, as well as throughout the world, rumour continues to circulate through powerful secret societies as to the lost alchemical art and the power of the manna to feed the masses, to cure all disease, to fuel all systems, and to prolong life. The result is increasing panic through the inner halls of the most powerful multi-national conglomerates, as well as the Catholic Church. It is under this cloak that the  “Inner Circle” has charged their most ruthless and cunning enforcer with the task of finding and eliminating all traces of “that-which-was-lost.”

This grail quest leads to the bumbling duo of fools who hail from Canada, although one has taken up residence in Brazil, having unknowingly married one of the last remaining grail priestesses. It is through the coincidence of family ties that the two find themselves applying ancient geometry in both Brazil and Canada, allowing them to pinpoint the locations of the abandoned grail settlements. It is at these two locations that the two discover the black rock, which consists of gold, titanium, manganese, and rare earth minerals such as iridium, which is the basis to the lost alchemical art – the art of the transformation of earth into manna. Here is the philosopher’s stone, the white powder, the Holy Grail. This ultimately puts the two friends and their newly formed company, Templar Gold Explorations Limited, on a deadly collision course with the most powerful of the secret societies, the Vatican’s Jesuits.
